But as digital took over, I was forced away from my beloved film camera.  I may not be able to easily return to the days of film photography (and to be honest, I’ll admit that digital is much easier to process!), but I can still make a welcome return to black-and-white.

‘A Black and White Affair’ is a new service exclusively for adults.  Shot in a selection of themes, ranging from classic Hollywood to contemporary urban, shoots take place in your home or on location.

In true classic style, the images are delivered as professionally mounted lustre/metallic prints.

Sorry for the long silence.  As January and February are always my quietest months, it’s the best time for getting the behind-the-scenes stuff done.  So I worked on new styles for my photography, worked on a Photobook, and enjoyed time with my family in my beloved second home, Antigua.

 But now I’m back, and relaunching Essence this month with a couple of changes…

After much deliberation, I have hung up my commercial photography cap and will no longer be shooting business portraits.  I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the business portraiture, and the 52 Faces project in particular.  But, I’d long had a desire to return to one of my first loves, and the reason I first got into this kind of work – Black-and-white photography. 

So replacing my business portraiture is a specialised black-and-white portrait service for adults and teens.  I will talk about the new service in a separate post very soon!

Father & Child Mini Portrait Sessions – £30

For Father’s Day this year, surprise Dad with a Father & Child Mini Portrait Session. 

Specifically for Dads and their kids (big and small!), each session lasts approximately 20 mins, and includes 3 High Resolution images. 

The Sessions will take place on Sunday 26th June, from 10am onwards, at Mowsbury Park and Putnoe Woods, Bedford.

Payment is due at the time of booking.  In the event of bad weather, sessions will be rescheduled to an alternative Saturday or Sunday.
